LIFE IN LAYERS: LA VITA A STRATI
La Vita a Strati is a new body of work.
It is work inspired by my time spent in Italy and Croatia in April/May this year.
The horizontal layers of the buildings, the stories captured on their walls, the depth of history and the community all spoke to my interest in the idea of Finding Home.

Silk grounds ready and waiting. This process takes me several months. I ‘read’ the silk, sketch an idea, then using various resists and stitch, I treat the silk. Such a satisfying process.
